It seems I’ve sparked something soulful with in my readers by addressing the nature of the ego-mind. I’ve been asked some important questions about how the ego mind affects us, so I’ve laid out a few point from my upcoming book.

Here’s the bottom line:

Either You Master the Ego-Mind or it Masters You!

  • Mastering your ego-mind enables you to make empowered choices based on present-time information because you are operating within this moment, or as you might have heard before, ‘in the now’.
  • Mastering your ego-mind frees you of your past, and puts you in the driver’s seat on the expressway to your best future. Not only that, your intuition will be riding shotgun holding a map giving you clear direction through your feelings, avoiding any of life’s emotional, financial, health, or relational traffic jams.
  • When you are the master of your ego-mind, you will know what you want in each of the five areas of your life. You will also find it easy to go for what you want in each of those five areas in order to create the sixth pivotal foundation, wisdom!

In contrast, when someone is not in control of their ego-mind they tend to:

  • live in the past, often haunted by past mistakes or regret. That person might seem to feel too muchoverwhelmed by emotions — or the polar opposite; they may be feeling a certain numbness inside. It can be hard to get excited, or for that matter, become upset about anything… It can feel like your spirit’s broken.
  • When you don’t ‘master your ego-mind’ you won’t know, beyond some vague idea, what you want in most areas of your life. Even if you did, there would either be this dreadful voice in the back of your head telling you ‘get it’ or a or a rotten feeling of nervousness and discomfort that like a magnet turned upside down would repel you from even the possibility of achieving and receiving what you want.

I look forward to your comments and feedback.
Until next time, Live with Courage, Dov…

Have you ever fallen in love, with a moment?  Remember a time when you did or experienced something… something that made you feel totally proud, made you feel so good that you were actually in awe of yourself.

It was in that moment that you felt completely alive, excited to be on this planet, enthusiastic to be significant, and you were probably inspired to make a difference.  It was one of those moments where you knew this is the kind of life you were born to live… everyday.

How did you get to that moment?

You decided, that’s how! You got to that glorious moment via a decision and what would your life have been without that one decision?

Decisions are the doorway to change.

Change starts from a moment of decision.

Think about a decision you made that changed your life. Now think about the decision that CAN change your life. What are you waiting for?

You can passively wait for one of those moments to arrive… Or you can make NOW one of those moments.

A life lived without passion is a live only half lived.

                                                  ~ Dõv Baron

Everything you have experienced in your life has been a result of choices…choices you’ve made for yourself or you allowed someone else to make for you.  Choices are simply  decisions moving you through from one moment to next.

The question to ask yourself is: are you moving from one magnificent moment to the next or are you ‘choosing’ to not make a decision and as a result living a passionless existence.

You can live with more passion by starting with just one decision.  Living a passion filled life may require different decisions than the ones you currently make when you wake up. However, you can passively wait to experience another spontaneous moment of passion or you can decide to make now the moment that propels you to the life you were born to live.

This is the only way to live with passion and become who you were born to be.
