A rich, fulfilling life cannot be attained by those who are willing to accept the Mediocre.

‘True  Success’ belongs to those who are willing to do what others can not do, or will not do. Take note; there will always be those who will tell you to take the path of least resistance.

What they don’t tell you is…

The path of least resistance is filled with the corpses of the mediocre.

To become free we must overcome the obstacles that are set before us.

Telling yourself and anyone else who will listen how tough it is, does nothing but validate that it’s okay to quit on yourself.

Those who do not have the courage to stand up for who they really are and what they really want die having lived lives that are, at best, half lived and all too often sadly forgotten.  These are the forgotten lives of the mediocre, whose fear of offending others has ruled them like a fierce dictator that banishes freedom as if it was a plague.

All courage is subjective; remember, what’s easy for one person is not necessarily easy for another. So give yourself the recognition for what you have already done while at the same time turn your back on complacency.

Celebrating your success is an excellent thing to do; however, staying at the celebration is like still wearing your Christmas hat in February; it gets a little stale.

So, stop looking for people to complain to; yes it’s hard sometimes… So what!

Do what you need to do, do what’s in front of you, and stop waiting for it to get better, change or anything other than what it is!

I look forward to hearing your feedback.

Until next time live with courage, Dov…

    Hello,

Can I add my thanks for this e-mail, I read it after thinking to myself its I that is the one that is going to have to make the changes needed to be successful in my life.
Sat down at my desk and saw the play (the last draft) sitting on my desk and that I posted off this week. And I thought to myself, maybe I'm not doing as bad as I think. For I am the one who is so critical on myself.
Then I read your blog and I thought "Damn it" I can do it!
Did George Bernard Shaw, Oscar Wilde or Samuel Beckett quit no Did James Joyce let his poor eyesight stop him no.
The sun is shining and I'm taking stock off how much I have done this year and not focusing on what I should a/could a done. That excitement is ahead of me.
I have always admired your common sense and enthusiasm, could I be cheeky and ask - Can we have your words every day!
    Thanks

    HI Rhonda,

Thank you for your generous words...and yes YOU CAN!

As far as getting a little more Dov each day. There is a way... Go take a look at BaronMasterUniversity.com There you will find that I have a private, (by invitation only) learning community where the members have access to my writings, recording and video's every single day. If you go take a look and you would like an invite you can write back to me and I'll gift you a one month trial membership.

    With gratitude, Dov...

He sat in the corner of an old tin shed. He glared at me with pure hatred, he clothing was filthy and he smelled something terrible. "Leave me alone,"
he screamed at me. I sat down and waited. When he finaly realized I wasn't going to hurt him or drag him out of his shelter he asked me "what do you want?" I told him, "I am a very special person and they only call me to help very special kids that are in trouble." "What makes you so special?" he asked. "I am special because I was once just like you." He looked at me in disbelief, "no way." So began a wonderful friendship and adventure, everyone else had given up on this feral child, no one cared, the case workers wanted to stun gun him and medicate him out of thier minds. I persisted and stuck to my conviction that this was a special child and slowly he began to believe it too.
The fall semester will soon start at the University of Arizona. This once feral child is on the National Honors Society, Deans List, and will begin his third year of Medical School.
It would have been easy to agree with everyone else and simply written him off. Going that second mile can be a real bitch sometimes but the vistas are magnificent when we arrive. He was special because I believed I was special and now I am special because he belives he is special.
The two most powerful words that will always guarantee sucess and excellence:
    Do It!

    Many Blessings,

  • I really loved your blog today...it was really what I needed today; looking forward to the next, Kelley
  • Dov, I wanted to share with you what a group in the little town of Mission is doing. I have been receiving your emails since I went to see your conference a couple years ago in Vancouver.

We are doing an experiment. Based on the idea that it only takes 17 people to positively shift a radius of 35,000 people, we are transforming ourselves so that the community is transformed.

It is a Bed Room community now and in eight months time we are expecting to see a renaissance that addresses the poverty, homelessness, addictions and provides a platform for a new way of living through community circles and online coverage of personal stories as we mastermind in this eight month time frame.

Some powerful people are pooling here under deep guidance. Just thought you shouldl know. Maybe we could get you out to speak??

    Hi Carolyn,

This all sounds very exciting and I would love to find out more.
Anything that has people coming together to raise consciousness is wonderful.

With sincere gratitude and curiosity, Dov...
