Are you open? I mean really willing to give some honest answers? I’ll tell you why I’m asking: I’ve been in this industry, (Personal growth/personal development) for almost 25 years and I think that you, yes you, the individuals who pursue your own development have the answers to an industry that needs to change.

So with that, let me ask you a few questions; when it comes to your personal development: What do you really care about?

Is it your relationship with a “higher power.?’”

Is it your romantic relationship with a significant other?

Is it your family relationships, or relationships with friends?

Is it money, business and or abundance?

Is it overcoming fears?

Is it your physical, mental, emotional or spiritual health?

When it comes to your personal development: What do you really care about?

Here’s the second question: Why? Why do you really care about what it is you say you care about? (Hey, don’t be flip, put down your real answer not some crap you think you should write.) I want real answers from those who are willing to be real.

Number 3} How much are you willing to invest in that development on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis? We’re not just talking dollars we’re talking about time, energy, commitment.

Number 4} What do see is the #1 thing that is lacking in the Personal development/personal growth industry?

Number 5} What would you add to the industry that would really support you in your growth? And what would you be willing to invest in that on a daily, weekly, monthly, yearly basis? (Again, we’re not just talking dollars we’re talking about time, energy, commitment.

I look forward to hearing your honest answers about Personal Growth and Personal Development. (If you don’t think you can answer each question, answer the ones you can.

See you soon. Dov…

  • Hello Dov:

It was really nice for me to take time to read two of your blogs and going to this site to read about gratitude ; there is 86,640 seconds in 24 hours and how much of that is spend on gratitude? I figure on a scale of 86,640 to zero. 86,640 being the highest mark for a great day of gratitude I figure my average is 80,000. I'm much better at making lemonade with lemons . I see that what I realy care about is my relationship with infinite intelligence/spiritual health, physical heatlh and financial health. Why spiritual health because deep down my soul has a purpose for being here and deserves authentic expression. Why physical health because I get more choice, and more strenght to help and asssit others. Why more finances because it gives me the ability to help, share, give and expand my soul's joy unto the world.

I have been doing alot of writing since September first and also seeing alot of change in my life. I called to apply for backrupcy this week and it was a humbling experience to have a wonderful man guide me around my finances and pray for me over the phone. He showed me what to do so I c an have 3 months to take care of my health, and make a desision about my financial situation. Prayers are welcome.

I feel I have to change the resonance around a few shocking experiences that happened to me because I gave it meaning that does not empower me. Well I quess i'll work more on the meanings i gave it and shift it at that level. If you have blogs specific to shift a shocking experience to something new, light and productive. that would be welcomed.. Blessing to you . your beloved and team.

    cheers

When it comes to your personal development: What do you really care about?:

In this moment, what I really care about is removing the barriers between the way I usually go about my day and the truths about who I really am. Basically I want to bring the positive self image of myself into reality, where I'm free to feel (or not feel) and express (or not express) what I truly feel, good or bad without judging myself.

    Why?:
Because living in a shell feels terrifying, like being slowly suffocated in a small dark box. I've seen enough people who've been in the box most of their lives to know that's not where I want to end up.

    #3:
I'm willing to invest, in a sense, everything. It's been my experience that the more I invest the more I receive, or in other words I receive in proportion to what I give myself.

    #4:
The biggest area of lack I see is in honesty. Not just in the people on a stage, but in participants. People like story book, a happy inspiring story with a bow on it. Demand = supply and thus there are a lot of people out there selling happy stories. This just feeds into those people feeling like victims, and resigning to the "fact" that personal development doesn't "work" (work being what they're not willing to put in). Many people that I run into, in any type of personal development, are looking for the easy answers and are looking for "it", the one big thing or change that will entirely change them. The industry lacks people being willing to celebrate small steps and enjoy the ride. No, I don't have a solution to the human aversion to pain, you'll have to take it up with the ego.

    #5:
Personally, I don't feel anything needs to be added or removed from the industry. It is what it is, and it will change organically. I have all the tools that I could imagine at my fingertips, and from time to time (sometimes twice in 30 days ;-) something else comes along and gets added to my belt, or helps me let go of something I hadn't been aware of carrying. I use many on a daily basis consciously, and a vast amount of them unconsciously which I recall as I need them. In that way my life is a walking commitment to my personal development, which leads me back to, "what are you willing to invest?" to which I responded "...Everything"
